“Down In the Valley / Birmingham Jail” -Let’s learn this fun and easy love song in waltz time. We’ll work on strumming it, chords, and melody. DAD Tuning.

 

Friday 10:15-11:30 Session 2F Mountain Dulcimer Intermediate

“The Old Rugged Cross” -1.5 fret helpful but not required. We will go over multiple ways to play the song. Melody line, and across all 3 strings. There will be a nice flat picked version as well. DAD Tuning.

 

Friday 2:30-3:45 Session 4F Mountain Dulcimer Intermediate

“How to Find Your Key” -Want to sing with your dulcimer but aren’t sure how? Bring your capo and an open mind. We will go over multiple strategies you can use to find your key to sing or play with others. DAD

 

Saturday 8:45-10:00 Session 6F Mountain Dulcimer Intermediate

“Bury Me Beneath the Willow – Love and Loss is a Classic Tale” -Learn the melody, chords, and how to embellish it. No capo necessary. DAD

 

Saturday 1:00-2:15 Session 8A Mountain Dulcimer Beginner

“Slow Jam Fun” -In this class we are going to jam the whole time! We will play several standard jam songs, be prepared to play a few beginner songs a bunch of times through, in our jam circle. I will provide 2 easy tabs for songs, but we might play more. Fun will be had. DAD

 

Saturday 4:15-5:15 Session 10E Mountain Dulcimer Intermediate

“Just a Jam! Old-Time Songs” -We are going to sit in a circle and jam! We’ll play whatever each person wants and have a blast. No tabs provided, bring what you need, and get ready to have fun and jam! No pressure, just fun. Capo’s should come with you. DAD
