Strum Camp! - This workshop will give you tools for happy strumming and tunes selected to help drive your right hand. Half of our time will be devoted to strumming in 4/4 time and the remainder will focus on 3/4 (waltz) time.
Friday 2:30-3:45 Session 4D Mountain Dulcimer
Intermediate
Mardi Gras! - Let's learn a few classic Cajun numbers to usher in a season of Mardi Gras! A couple of waltzes and a two-step will help you "Laissez les bons temps rouler!"
Saturday 10:15-11:30 Session 7C Mountain Dulcimer Beginner/Novice
Chord Camp! - Let's play easy chords, listening for changes as we strum along with familiar songs that only use two or three chords. This fun class will help you get the feel of moving between easy chords, plus lots of practice strumming them.
Saturday 4:15-5:15 Session 10A Mountain Dulcimer Beginner
If You Can Sing It, You Can Play It! - Let your fingers do the walking as you play easy versions of songs you already know. Like the paint-by-number lit of my childhood, these tunes will be presented in "play-by-number style" - very easy to read, very easy to follow along. The tuning for this class is DAA, however, playing on the middle string DAD works perfectly well.
