              Improving Your Right Hand - This class will focus on building a solid foundation for your right hand! We will emphasize techniques for getting good tone, smooth, and steady strumming and adding some individual notes with flatpicking. By enhancing these basic fundamentals, you will greatly improve the sound and rhythm of anything you play!

Friday 10:15-11:30 Session 2E Mountain Dulcimer Intermediate

             Using Celtics Airs to Enhance Your Playing and Your Expression! - We know you can play! In addition to learning some great new tunes, this class will use some beautiful Celtic Airs to help you get more personal expression when you play. We will cover chord variations, adding or deleting notes, fingering, using rhythms, and more to help you put more expression into your music! Please bring a CAPO!

Friday 4:15-5:15 Session 5F Mountain Dulcimer Advanced

              Making A Tune "Your Version" - At your level, I know you can play very well. And I also know that we all want to continue to grow in our music! So, to help you with that growth, I have a number of "new" tunes to share with you. In this class we'll explore how to play them, and then how to make them "yours"! This will involve not only using your left- and right-hand techniques, but also your ears and your heart to add to your personal expression. And we'll all learn from each other! Please bring a CAPO!

Saturday 10:15-11:30 Session 7E Mountain Dulcimer Intermediate

Learning Some Great Old-Time Tunes Not Commonly Played in Dulcimer Circles....YET! -

There are a number of great Old-Time tunes that I have not seen or heard played in dulcimer circles. Well, that needs to change! In this workshop, not only will you learn some great new tunes, but we'll also focus on rhythms, melody and variation in sound, and more to really get that Old-Time feeling and sound. And you'll be welcome to share these tunes with folks wherever you live or go! Please bring a CAPO! 

Saturday 1:00-2:15 Session 8C Mountain Dulcimer Beginner/Novice

              Improving Your Left Hand - On Friday we worked on improving your right hand, this class will focus on techniques and tips for using your left hand efficiently and smoothly. We will work on techniques for getting clean notes, adding variation with how we get those notes (hammer-on's and pull off's, slides, etc.) fingering for efficiency and smooth transitions, and more. If you have questions or problems with your left hand, bring them to class and we'll get them answered and fixed. 

Saturday 2:30-3:45 Session 9C Mountain Dulcimer Beginner/Novice

              Putting It All Together! - We've covered the right hand and the left hand so far. We've also talked about using our ears and hearing how what we are playing sounds. Now it's time to put it all together! We'll apply what you've learned the past few days to some great tunes! And we'll also be sure to leave enough time to answer any lingering questions you may have.
