Friday 10:15-11:30 Session 2J Hammered Dulcimer Beginner

“Starting Our Adventure” -Let’s explore this wonderful instrument and use some musical exercises to learn our way around it! Then we’ll learn a couple of fun tunes to play together. 

 

Friday 1:00-2:15 Session 3L Hammered Dulcimer Advanced

“A New Take on Scarborough Faire” -Adding a different, unique rhythmic accompaniment to this classic can add a LOT of excitement!

 

Friday 4:15-5:15 Session 5L Hammered Dulcimer Advanced

“Two-Handed Separation Without Separating Your Brain” -Playing melody AND accompaniment is SO rewarding…and adds MUCH to these tunes!

“Playing Together in a Dulcimer Orchestra” -This African folk tune is SUCH fun to play in six different parts with others!

“New Techniques to Add to Our Growing Repertoire” -It’s FUN to find NEW skills to add to our tunes and our skill level! Bell tones, plucking, and damping can add so much.

 

Saturday 4:15-5:15 Session 10K Hammered Dulcimer Intermediate

“Drones are NOT a Drag”

-Let’s learn the BEST way to add drones to a couple of beautiful tunes…one American, and one Scottish.
