topics include playing in the key of C while tunes to DAD, using string bends
to achieve chromatic notes, and playing in the key of D with alternative
tunings. The focus will also be on how to apply these techniques effectively
and deciding when and where to use them.

Session 7D Mountain Dulcimer Intermediate
“Right-Hand
Dominance” -We’ll focus on the essential
techniques for the right hand, including fundamentals, rhythm, strumming
patterns, accented rhythms, and dynamics. Additionally, you’ll learn how to
strum fluidly, smoothly, sparsely (and even quickly), while incorporating a
backbeat! This will cover everything necessary to begin developing a strong and
solid strumming hand. Be sure to bring the thinnest dulcimer available to you.

Albert d’Ossche. You can play it with either flat-picking or fingerpicking, and
it’s a great way to explore two-finger or double-stop chords. You don’t even

people are bringing contemporary tunes to the Mountain Dulcimer, which is
exciting. In the season, you’ll learn about common pitfalls and how to avoid
